Interactive Google Slides "Get To Know Me Through My Phone"
I have created this wonderful interactive informative activity that students can easily navigate! Slides are "GEN-Z" approved! It's up to you! Use this resource as a back-to-school activity, first day assignment, or simply just because.
 
Assignment Goal:
This is a simple, clear, and direct assignment that aims for students to share about themselves. Use student submissions as way to get to know your students! Students are asked to share fun information about themselves through a phone themed slide deck. Students DO NOT actually need a phone to complete this activity.

What's Included
A total of 7 interactive slides and an example of a completed slide deck. The Canva template that the slides were created on is also linked if you would like to make personalized edits.
 
Slide backgrounds are locked in place, so students can only add text and click and drag "moveable pieces".
 
Slide 1 - The assignment title page with instructions along the margins to help students navigate the Google Slides. Cute design that gets student's attention!
Slide 2 - My Wallpaper: Students are asked to post a photo of their wallpaper. Then they are asked to explain why they selected this wallpaper and what it says about their personality.
Slide 3 - My Alarm: Students are asked to create a personalized alarm schedule each day of the week. They will use "moveable icons" to make edits. They are asked if they set multiple alarms each day and whether or not they are early birds.
Slide 4 - My Social Media: Students are asked about which social media platforms they use the most. They are to click and drag the media icons on the phone graphic. Students are then asked to evaluate one pro and one con of social media use.
Slide 5 - My Messages: Students are asked to identify the top three people they communicate with the most. They are asked why these people are important to them.
Slide 6 - My Music: Students are asked to identify their top 3 favorite songs.
Slide 7 - My Shows: Students are instructed to post a photo of their favorite show. They are asked what they like to watch in their free time.
 
 
* Note - Assignment can be shared as a "force copy". This will allow students to have their own copy. Simply edit the URL on your copy by replacing the word "edit" with "copy". Open the new URL with the word "copy", and share that link with students.
 
*Assignment can also be downloaded as a PPT to share with students who do not have Google account access.
