Description of the Healthy Vs. Unhealthy Interactive Google Slide Activity

    • Assignment Goal: This is a simple, clear, and direct assignment that aims to inform students of the difference between what healthy and unhealthy relationships look like.
    • What's Included
      • A total of 6 slides + 2 PDF documents!
        • Slide 1 - The assignment title page with instructions along the margins to help students navigate the Google Slides. Cute design that gets student's attention!
        • Slide 2 - Slide that has students click to the Healthy Relationships Document & the Unhealthy Relationship Document.
        • Slide 3 & 4 - Students are asked to identify the 6 healthy relationship tips given on the Healthy Relationship Document. Students are asked to define in their own words the 7 different types of relationship abuse identified on the Unhealthy Relationship document.
        • Slide 5 - Students are directed to watch the linked YouTube video titled "What Teens Think About Relationships". From there they are instructed to identify 3 things they look for in a relationship, and 3 things things they don't want in a relationships.
        • Slide 6 - Students are directed to watch the linked YouTube video titled "10 Relationship Red Flags of Abuse". From there they are instructed to identify at least 2 red flags mentioned in the video as well as provide rationale for why these characteristics are things that they should be cautious of in a relationship.
        • Slide 7 - Taping into higher order thinking skills and a deeper DOK, students are asked to review a case scenario regarding a possible relationship abuse situation. They are instructed to identify the unhealthy behaviors and how they would help the person leave the unhealthy relationship.
