Lesson 2: Infant Nutrition (24 slides)

    • Describes breastfeeding and why it’s the preferred feeding method for infants.
    • Explains the growth and immune factors that breast milk contains. 
    • Outlines the transition to solid foods.

Lesson 2: Assignments

    • Students are instructed to answer various questions regarding infant nutrition, preferred feeding method, growth and immune factor, transition to solid foods, and baby supplements.
  • 5.02 Nourishing the Newborn and Infant Google Form Lesson Assignment 
    • Students are instructed to read 2 small articles by the University of Kentucky:
      • Nourishing the Newborn: Birth to Four Months 
      • Nourishing the Older Infant: Four to Twelve Months 
    • Students are asked questions regarding the articles.
    • Contains mostly reading comprehension questions. 
    • Contains a case scenario question.
    • Google Form contains cute baby GIFs throughout.
